Thursday the 28th @ 6pm

 

The SSC Bylaws designate our monthly community meetings to be held the 3rd Thursday of each month 4-5:30pm. However, based on feedback from interested families, we are holding a second meeting during the month of February that will run 6-7:15pm. This later meeting will cover the same topics as the first one, providing an opportunity for more families to participate. Please join us at the meeting time that works for you!

Reminder: ASP Spring Enrollment starts this Sunday

Sunday, February 24th @ 6pm, to be exact

 

Here are the deets:

 

  • Spring enrollment will begin Feb 24 @ 6pm - Mar 3 @ 6pm

  • Classes will be from Mar 11 - May 31

  • NO Classes During Parent Teacher Conference Week March 4-8

  • NO classes Mar 25 - Mar 29 (spring break)

  • NO class May 27 Memorial Day - Mon

Online Bidding is Live!

Our online Auction catalog is live and bidding has now begun!  Bid on everything from gift cards to your favorite restaurants, to summer camps for kids, to wine tastings and hotels to Giants Tickets and more.. You can also support teachers and classrooms by purchasing a Fund-A-Need to contribute towards purchasing items, or support a fun community mural project for the middle yard! Online bidding will close on March 2 and items that have not reached their “Buy Now” price online will be at the March 8th event for further bidding.  

 

We Need Volunteers on March 8th: We have several opportunities for volunteering on March 8th at the event. Most shifts are an hour long or less so you won’t miss any of the fun. Please sign-up on this google sheet or email auction@newtraditionssf.com and thank you to those who have already volunteered!

Other Auction Reminders

 

Buy your Tickets before March 1st and save $15. Prior to March 1st, tickets are $50 per person and include beverages, food, and entertainment at the event. On March 1st, ticket prices increase to $65 per person, so buy yours today!  If the ticket price is a barrier, please contact Julie Alderete or the auction committee at auction@newtraditionssf.com to receive a complimentary ticket.

 

We are still collecting wine donations (minimum $20 value): Carole Penta is collecting wine at morning drop off. If morning drop off isn’t convenient, email Carole (carolepenta@gmail.com) or the auction committee (auction@newtraditionssf.com) to arrange drop off.

 

Rent a Speakeasy Outfit and Earn $50 for New Traditions. While dressing up for our auction is never required, it can be a whole lot of fun. If you are looking for an outfit for Auction Night, The Speakeasy  - a fun immersive SF theatrical experience and a Live Auction item at this year’s event!  - is offering New Traditions parents a great deal on a wardrobe rental.

 

A full costume rental, regularly priced at $125 will be discounted by 20% to $100 and half the proceeds will be donated to New Traditions! We need someone to run the end-of-year raffle! Is it you?

 

Want to make a big fundraising impact? We are looking for an individual to run our end of year school raffle. This is a time limited commitment over the next couple of months. We have several prize donations already so responsibilities mainly consist coordinating tickets sales and collections. Past raffles have raised $6,000 - $12,000, which is a significant portion of the PTA budget. You can make a difference! Please reach out to Don Anair donk_anair@yahoo.com if you’re curious. Sign Up for SoccerInsight Summer Camp by March 23 and Raise Money for New Traditions!

 

We know many kids here love to play soccer, especially during the summer. Now your kid’s summer of soccer can also benefit all New Traditions kids with a generous donation from SoccerInsight.

 

Here's how it works:

 

SoccerInsight has agreed to donate 20% of proceeds from New Traditions registrations in SoccerInsight summer camp — half day or full day — to the New Traditions PTA. Raise $$ for our school by ordering from Good Eggs in March and April

 

This March and April, Good Eggs will donate 5% back to New Traditions Elementary School every time you shop.
