Join the PTA!

78 people have joined the Friends of New Traditions PTA so far this year. A big thanks to all of you!  Our goal is to have 200 members so we’re almost halfway there. If you haven’t already joined, please do so now (link below) - it only costs $10 to join, and as a member you’ll be able to take part in the decision-making process about how PTA resources (time, energy, and money) are used to support our school. Your input is critical!

Greening Day #2

Saturday, November 2nd 10am-2pm

(it’s like an open house - stop by anytime!)

Come and join us for a community greening day on Saturday, November 2nd. We have an ambitious plan for lots of planting - several parent volunteers bought gorgeous native plants at the Botanical Gardens plant sale last weekend and they will get some more at the Sloat Gardens Fundraiser next week. These new plants will spruce up the upper yard!

Besides planting, we will do some painting and also general cleanup. We’ll have something for everyone to do - or you can help oversee kids playing in the yard.

Free coffee will be provided, and if you’d like to bring some snacks to share, that’s wonderful as well.  The event is from 10am-2pm, but even if you can only join for 30 minutes, please stop by!

Scholastic Book Fair: Help Needed

The Scholastic book fair is coming, November 18-22 and we need your help to make it a big success. The main hallway will be filled with hundreds of books for our students to explore before and after school. This is the ideal time to shop for the holidays!

The book fair raises funds to purchase new books for the library and gets books directly into classrooms via teacher wish lists. We are looking for volunteers throughout the week and have several time slots available, can you help us bring the book fair to life? Please sign up today (link below) or email bookfair@newtraditionssf.com
